In June of last year, the PRC approved the 2017 postal promotions. We’ve been anxiously waiting to learn about the 2018 postal promotions, however there doesn’t seem to be any progress on this.

One big factor preventing postal incentives for next year’s program is the lack of presidentially appointed governors on the USPS Board of Governors. Without a governor on the board the USPS marketing folks have no directive to proceed with creating promotions. The USPS Board of Governors are the only ones who have the authorization to approve promotion activity. As of right now there is no clear date on when someone will be appointed, and because of this, the rollout of the 2018 promotions is in jeopardy of being delayed or scrapped for next year.

This would be a good time to contact your local representatives and voice your concerns. We need at least one governor to be nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate as quickly as possible.

As more information becomes available we’ll certainly share.
