Keeping “It” Local

We have something our competitors don’t have.  Location.  Do you know what the advantages are for staying local?State of Maine Paper Mills

  • The Dingley Press is located at the doorstep to some of the largest paper mills in the US and Canada.  Think savings, think environment.  Our ideal location helps these mills reduce their truck emission and carbon footprint.  Think less distance on freight, lower shipping costs.  Think local partners, larger savings on paper.
  • Press okays are affordable and less time consuming.  Getting to know your Sales Executive and Account Managers is easy.  We want you to feel a part of our community.   You will never feel like you’re lost in a crowd here.  Being local allows our relationships to flourish.
  • Our distribution center is within a one day drive of over 65% of the US population; again, saving money on freight.

All this coupled with some of the lowest postage costs in the industry through our in-house co-mailing and distribution programs definitely puts you at an advantage.  Getting your catalog into your customers’ hands quickly is easy. Now THAT’S the “Maine” Way.

Meet Your Local Sales Executive

David Barker, JrDavid Barker

A graduate of Bowdoin College and working in the fine paper business for a number of years, Dave joined The Dingley Press in 1982. The task at hand was to build the sales for The Dingley Press after the loss of its largest customer, L.L. Bean.  Although The Dingley Press was an excellent vendor and partner with L.L. Bean, L.L. Bean’s growth drew them to Gravure printing.  The task at hand was great but a super challenge.

Today, The Dingley Press is the 5th largest catalog printer in the United States with over 140 customers nationwide mailing over 350,000,000 catalogs, employing over 350 people in our exceptional 290,000 square foot facility.

Dave has been a longstanding member of NEMOA and VT/NH Marketing Group. Attending the first ACMA Conference, Dave and The Dingley Press support the ACMA mission and the great effort and representation ACMA has in Washington. The ACMA involvement in Postal Affairs and the strong representation for the Catalog Industry parallels the support The Dingley Press has for our catalog customers.
